World Series Game 7 Delays Fringe & Podcast

Oct 28, 2011 | 19 comments

After having a week with no Fringe due to the World Series, we were all looking forward to “Novation”, the follow up episode that  shows us what happens after Peter emerged from Reiden Lake.  The World Series was scheduled to end no later than Thursday, October 27, but a rain delay on Wednesday forced game 6 to be moved to Thursday.  This meant that if St. Louis won and forced a game 7, that game would be played on Friday, October 28 and “Novation” would not be shown as originally scheduled.

Unfortunately, that is exactly what happened.  In a very exciting game that went into extra innings, St. Louis beat Texas 10-9 and forced a game 7.  This means that “Novation” will now air one week later on November 4.  This also means that we will not be podcasting on Sunday, October 30.

There is an upside, however.  This should mean that since Fringe is taking a week off now, the winter hiatus will be shortened by one week.  Fringe will air “Novation” on November 4, “And Those We’ve Left Behind” on November 11 and “Wallflower” on November 18.  We do not have a confirmed date on when “Back To Where You’ve Never Been” will be aired.

In Canada Fringe is shown on both Fox and CityTV and according to my cable guide it is still on tonight on CityTV. It’s unfortunate that I am not subscribed to that channel.

If you live in Canada, and you get CityTV, CityTV is still scheduled to be showing Novation TONIGHT. Yes, the schedule may be open to change, but as it currently stands, Novation will air TONIGHT in Canada.

I have heard that from other Canadians too, Ken. I seriously doubt that it is shown in Canada tonight. I would guess that they simply have not updated the TV guide information to reflect the sudden change in programming.

Yea, that could be true, but I am seriously considering calling Bell to get that channel added just in case. 🙂

Will Courtney still be back for a podcast episode sometime soon? (Please say yes.)

Shukriyya, Courtney will not be joining us. She is also a victim of the rain delay too. 🙂

Another week without Fringe. Right now, where it is most exciting. I’m looking forward for another great episode on November 4.

Just checked my Bell listings for CityTV, and indeed, “Novation” is still listed as being presented tonight with the record schedule still on. Surely it is an error though…?

Absolutely right, it was some replay of I don’t know what. Boo. I watched the Grimm premier instead, but it’s difficult to enjoy one thing when you’re expecting another! Oh well… a longer Fringe season instead. Yay!

Other than that I friggin’ wish I lived in Canada! LOL!!! Not fair!!!

Btw, the Fringe Fan page has a very funny posting fan created poster of Peter Bishop say that he’s not amused by being preempted by a baseball game after fighting his way back into our universe. Hilarious!

I hope Courtney stil comes back, although I’m glad that Clint wouldn’t have to miss an episode. You guys should do a ‘reunion’ show with Courtney, Jason, and Patty. 🙂

WHY NOT?!!??!!?

They really give this show a shafting as far as airing it smoothly. Yet another week without the show so they can play some other trash.
