Will Sam Weiss Die?

This week’s episode is called, “The Last Sam Weiss.”  I wonder if that means the Sam Weiss we know will die and there will be no others of his race to continue on his family name.

My gut feeling is he will die. But not in this coming episode but on the season finale.

Maybe we will get some backstory of Sam, and it will be perhaps a Sam-centric episode.

In the finale, I think it refers to how the First People DIED. That’s why it’s the day we DIED and not the day we die.

I am also very convinced that neither of the universes will be gone. We will still have the 2 universes next season. And therefore, the blending nor the death of any of the universes will happen. What WILL happen though, for me, is the conditions of the universes will switch.

Blueverse will suffer from Blight, need to do some amberization, rationization of coffee, etc. (DESTRUCTION)

Redverse will experience regrowth and life. Oxygen normalizes. (CREATION)

If there’s anything I’ve learned from six seasons of Lost, it’s that if a mysterious supporting character finally appears in an episode for more than one scene, they will die. Examples include Matthew Abaddon, Jacob, Mikhail Bakunin, Ilana, Farraday right after he finally got a flashback episode and Michael right after a brief appearance in season 4. And of course, all they do is leave behind questions.

So yeah, I fully expect Sam Weiss to die. The same way I fully expected Bell to die in the season 2 finale. I mean, it’s not like Bell was at all important to the show, and it’s not like we only just got to see him in action, and it’s not like we never learned anything about the questions that surrounded him. Oh, wait..

I think The Last Sam Weiss refers not to “our” Sam Weiss but a Sam Weiss which existed before. Or I could be wrong. 😀

Huh, so I guess I didn’t learn anything from Lost after all.

I think it means that our Sam Weiss is last one that is needed. As we learned in the episode, his received his knowledge of the machine from his father and it has been passed down through many generations. Perhaps Sam was expecting the machine to be activated during his lifetime and that is why he doesn’t have a child of his own to pass the knowledge to. He will die eventually and there will be no other Sam Weiss to take his place.

Shouldn’t the current Sam Weiss be called Sam Weiss junior or Sam Weiss the sixth?

The day we died most likely imo refers to the future of the blue universe that Peter saw – it’s basically the death of the blue verse after the events were not contained, the red verse having “won”.

Then Peter will come back from the future, and our team of ace Fringey peeps will have to work to prevent that future from happening (ie, they will need to work to save both universes).

    It’s a bit like Odyssey 5, really… 🙂

I think “last” means latest. Will he die? Eventually. Natural First People causes. Apparently all the Sam Weiss’s before him died. But if he is one of the First People, are there others? Are there females so that there can be a Next Sam Weiss?
