TFP Episode 447-Brave New World Part 1

May 6, 2012 | 1 comment

In this episode of The Fringe Podcast we review part 1 of the Fringe season 4 finale, “Brave New World.” We discuss the return of Leonard Nimoy as William Bell, the death of David Robert Jones, and whether or not Astrid will die. We also bet some more bananas on the possibility that William Bell could be Mr. X, and we share differing opinions on Olivia’s pregnancy. All of this and a whole lot more is headed your way in this episode of The Fringe Podcast.

Excellent podcast. By the way, would love to join the live podcast and even attempted this past Sunday; yet honestly, I really look forward to listening to the podcast during my work day. It helps me with the Mondays!

Anyway, I mentioned in a comment on a previous posting that I thought that Mr. X actually is Bell after what we saw in this last episode and then the same symbol in 3×19. And therefore, mentioned that I thought Bell will be the one to kill Olivia as it was eluded to in “Letters of Transit.”

Well, after listening to the podcast, I want to change that a little bit. I am thinking now that Mr. X from 3×19 is not a physical man per se that is going to kill Olivia; yet, is representative of something created by Bell (as it has Bell’s signature) that kills Olivia. I think Bell (from seeing “Letters of Transit” and now the symbol again in 4×21) that Bell creates and/or is responsible for Olivia’s death; yet, he is not the one to actually “pull the trigger” so to speak. I think via these powers Olivia has which were activated via Bell (now that we know DRJ was working with him), or via some other creation, Bell is Mr. X in the sense that he will be responsible with Olivia’s death. And, I actually find myself leaning towards something more chemical or even these activated powers that kills Olivia vs. an actual person and/or observer.

Make any sense? Just wondering here…
