Hello, this is Heather from Utah with my first Blog post.
After the mention of my theory in the last podcast of the gate or door and the key I’m opening it up to you Fringe Fans. (You can read the theory here: http://bit.ly/ig3oHB) In “The Last Sam Weiss” we learn that Olivia is the crowbar to help Peter run the machine.
Why do you think they need to work together? How was the machine made for them? Do you think we will learn how the machine works in the finally? or will we have to wait till next season? Will Peter need to run the machine again? Will Olivia have to help him that time as well?
They are together in purpose to get Peter in the machine. Olivia is still shown as the protector and soldier, with her FBI badge shown prominently. In this case she is helping to not only protect Peter but our world as well; the role she was made for. Peter has shown his protective side on the show but less as a warrior and more as a nurturer to Walter. Olivia’s previous experience with telekinesis and her mind abilities have been referenced this season several times and now we get another show of what she can do.
Do you think this is the last we will see of the machine? Is it a tool to distroy or create? To tear apart or bring together?
I wonder if we will ever get the answer to “how” the machine works, or if we will be expected as viewers to just accept that it does. It might be one of those things where any explanation they tried to give would fall short. I do hope, however, that we get an answer as to why Peter and Olivia have to be together for Olivia to fully exercise her powers. I am looking forward to tonight’s finale with great anticipation!!!
I am super excited as well. I have not been disapointed with any episode so far so I have high hopes for the finaly.
Nice post Heather. I don’t think it’s the last we’ve seen of the machine. What bothers me is, if these two were fated to be together then what happened to Peter having to make a choice between the two Olivias? If that answer is in your link, sorry, I haven’t had a chance to check it yet. But that was a pretty large plot point right? Eh, maybe tonight.
One idea is that the machine was made for any Olivia and any Peter to work together. So if the Blueverse Peter had lived he could have ran it too. Then they have 2 chances to save the world, with a back-up Peter and Olivia if you will. The prophecy paper just had a drawing of people who looked like our heroes, not their names or where they are from. I hope the machine is addressed in some way tonight and not just forgotten as a random thing that happened in the past.
Okay, something came to me today at work while listening to the feedback podcast. What are the chances of the future Peter being Mister X? He had similar weird hair in the flash forward. Can’t wait for tonight’s episode!!!
