Music has always been closely associated with Fringe. During the first season of Fringe the show relied heavily on pop music to grab and hold viewer attention. I have to admit I was never a big fan of Lady GaGa. But that all changed when Olivia walked into the bar during the episode Bad Dreams and GaGa’s music was booming over the speakers and I’ve been “Starstruck” ever since.
But not all the music I’ve come to associate with Fringe actually appeared on the show. A few weeks ago, good friend and fellow blogger, Fringe_Nerd came up with a post about music for Fringe and like a favorite tune it’s been in my head ever since. In response to that post I contributed a couple of links to music and now I have another.
At the end to season two of Fringe, Olivia was a prisoner of Walternate. I always thought as season three started that she was yearning to be rescued by Peter and Walter and I associated her plight with Kaki King’s, “Pull Me Out Alive”. There’s nothing special about the lyrics, just the main chorus. To me it exemplified Olivia’s yearning to be set free.
Do all of you have a song that reminds you of Fringe? Is it from a certain episode or scene? Or do you have a song that is thematic of an entire season?

You won’t be surprised to know that I find quite a few songs that remind me of another one of our favorite shows (Lost). I’m now going to keep my ears open for songs that remind me of Fringe. I love a good musical challenge! I don’t think it will take me too long to find some. Stay “tuned” 😀
Here you go Dave: Here’s a video from Fringe 3×18 When Fauxlivia gives birth and Lincoln says he loves her. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tQBOReE8xao
Here’s the song that reminds me of that moment:

Very nice Gobosox54. You are such a romantic. I see “Destroyer” is playing at the Palladium in Worcester July 8th. Think Lincoln and Liv will be there?
