How Far in the Future Did Peter Go?

Apr 30, 2011 | 18 comments

I saw the monument that mentioned the September 11 attack.  We know that this did not occur in the redverse so Peter must still be in the blueverse.  The monument also said it was erected on September 11, 2021.

So we know that Peter is at least in the year 2021.  How far do you think he traveled?

But you’re right it did say the monument was erected in 2021. So I’m assuming that it was at least 10 years in the future.

It looks like somewhere between 10 to 30 years perhaps.

    OR

the two universers merged. Some decision that were made in the red verse came to be true and some in the blue verse came to be true. i.e fringe division and the twin towers falling. Was the red verse and blue verse just two possible outcomes? :S and now Peter is in the yellow verse?

Didn’t the promo for next week say he went 15 years into the future?

They did a good job with Peter’s hairline, but there’s no way any of the actors will look 15 years older. I think they shouldn’t have made the jump so forward.

Uhmm… We didn’t even hear what were Peter’s intentions once he got onto the machine. They’ve must’ve had a plan of some sort. They didn’t even reveal that… rather Peter and Walter must’ve discussed why Peter should do once in that machine. Notably we know niether of them knew what was going to happen. But they did know there were some mind control over the machine. Arrrrg!

Great Scott Marty!!!!! He didn’t even have a flux capacitor. Peter will find something out in season finale that is vital to both worlds survival then will need to find the machine in the future in order to get back and tell Walter & Co. what to do. Where is he going to get 1.21 Gigawatts from?

It’s clear to me we are still in the blueverse, as the shot of the memorial was clearly added to give us a location and “when” fix. Blueverse, sometime after 2021 (but not far, I reckon.)

Didn’t the producers say “no” to a third verse, anyway..?

    I would say 2026.

The promo says 15 years into the future. And in the episode The Last Sam Weiss, there is an evident number 2026 on the car -> http://fringepedia.net/wiki/File:321Car2026.jpg, which suggests to me that is the next episode clue.

It’s definitely the prime universe because that building was Freedom Tower, which is currently being built on the former site of the World Trade Centres. The towers weren’t destroyed in the alternate universe: ergo, prime universe.

And there WERE September 11 attacks in the alternate universe, but on different targets.

I’m going with 15 years because of the promo. Apparently the monument was erected on the 20th anniversary. Things must have been somewhat stable for them to have done that – before everything falls apart 5 years later.

I think it is approx. 15 years and not more as he still looks very much the same, however; there are signs that he has aged – the wrinkles and the receding hairline (not unlike Walter’s)+ the police car hint that it is 2026…(at the museum)

This show has been mind-blowing for me since the 1st episode – not many programs do that for me… it totally rocks….
