Here’s something special I wanted to share with Fringe fans. The movie is called “Another Earth” and it deals with many of the same themes that our favorite TV show, Fringe, explores. What would it be like to meet another version of your self? What is their world like? Are we all the same? How do they define the soul. Are we ruled by fate or do we have the will to forge our own destiny?
I highly recommend this film and it is out on DVD and Blu-Ray. Like I said, a must for Fringe fans!
Watched this movie last weekend. LOVED it!
Awesome, Roger! We’ll have to come up with some sort of Fringe-Another Earth crossover t-shirt.
Very interesting movie. I just finished it a few minutes ago. Not at all what I was expecting a lot more dramatic and character driven. Would have liked to hear a bit of what was said when they met at the very end. The open ending was probably to leave it up to us to determine if everything is based off our fate and destiny or if we all really do have a chance to make our lives what they are. Definitely had a lot of the Fringe feel to it thanks for the recommendation!
You’re welcome TJM, I’m glad you got something out of the movie. I have a theory about the end as I found it quite gratifying. But I don’t want to repeat it here for fear of spoiling it for those who haven’t seen it yet.
BTW, if you like dramatic endings, see the movie, “Take Shelter”. Actually the whole movie is unforgettable.
Thanks Dave! I watched the trailer and will definitely check it out.
Happy TGIF tomorrow!
OK Kristin I think you’ll like it. Happy happy to you too!
the ending was very satisfying the fact that you could spend an hour and a half with just two characters and still want more from them shows it was very well done.
This looks very interesting… is it on video?
Of course! You can order just about anywhere or watch it via Netflix or Blockbuster. I bought the Blu-Ray myself.
I’ll certainly be checking this out. Looks very interesting! Never even heard of it before.
