In this episode we discuss the feedback we received for the Fringe episode, “Stowaway.” We received a lot of great input from listeners for this podcast and we received some very humorous contributions from Xerophytes and MadamePapaya. We discuss the possible future of streaming content and we discuss fate vs. free will in our Twinge segment.

Fascinating to listen to the listener feedback as usual… Wanted to say – the listener from Dorchester(?) who mentioned the pizza place where Peter and Olivia had their pizza in the other episode, and how good the restaurant is, is so right! “Regina’s Pizza” has the best pizza anywhere in our opinion, we went last summer to Boston and ate there. Fantastic!
Warning – useless trivia ahead… 🙂
I’d wanted to send audio feedback with my spouse playing that tune “Take Five” that was playing in the background. That tune has some interesting trivia… Taken from the album “Time Out”, it is an unusual tune that is played in quintuple metre, instead of the more common double, triple or quadruple metres. There are other tunes, of course, but not so many. Therefore, with that tune, we are given the number 5 (Take Five), from an album named Time Out (time) played in quintuple time (5/8). Could it mean something? Another tune that contains quintuple meter is • “Across the Universe” by John Lennon and Paul McCartney. Two measures of 5/4 are used: (1) the end of the first verse; (2) the end of the third verse prior to the second chorus. (By the way, On the album Time Out, Brubeck used a different time signature for each track, which was very unusual.)
Alot of “time” elements from one little tune… Apologies for my wordiness! 🙂
