I have to say after viewing this video the first time it got a little dusty in the room. Fringe has pursued the family dynamic for years now and sometimes it moves at a glacial pace and at other times it comes full force out of nowhere. The above video is different in this regard. It captures a subtle quiet moment where Walter is feeling a little impulsive and nostalgic but what ensues is pure magic.

I know some of you hate spoilers and avoid teaser but this one is something special and I defy you not to get a lump in your throat.

    Huge lump 🙂

This scene has become one of my most favorite moments ever in Fringe! I know some people are saying it was out of character for Peter, but I don’t think it was; I think it was in character for both Peter and Walter, well acted by Josh and John, and just a brilliant scene all together!

      Agreed Dana.

Peter has been through quite a lot lately so there is nothing wrong with a little emotional venting. It’s good to see the Bishop boys back together! I wasn’t aware there was some negative feedback for this scene, will people ever be happy?

I love everything that Fringe uses about the love between a father and son, and son to a father.
    Walter is broken man.
    Peter is a kidnapped victim.
    Walternate lost a son.
    These are powerful things.
In my own personal life, my father died in 1987 and I miss him every single day.
My children live in NJ and I live in Virginia, I miss them every single day.
I love Fringe, its amazingly poinant in my personal life.
yes I get a lump in my throat and a tear in my eye, and pull on my heart strings.
