Well, I have not been blogging at the frequency I had hoped…it has been a very busy summer to say the least. But I did happen upon this new short (very short) trailer for season 4…enjoy!

Have you dissected it yet? It’s a typical enigmatic jumble of images that they turn out to drive us crazy. I’ve heard it’s a bunch of material borrowed from previous seasons but I don’t know if that is true or not. Here’s a thought, we have to take the title “The Day We Died” literally. We being the operative word. Everything and everyone is in a new timeline (We) Peter is still in the old one.
I think that is somewhat true because “the first people” are now considered to be olivia, walter, astrid…so essentially this is a new universe and these are the first people of this universe..the room they are standing is a bridge between two other universes…the bridge is essentially its own complete universe.
Maybe we all died is completely correct Dave..thanks.
I definitely noticed some images from old seasons but I thought Peter’s dialogue might have been new. I could be wrong though.
I like the idea that everyone else is in a new timeline and Peter was left in the old one. My first thought was, an interesting opening scene for season 4 could be Peter alone in the room, having just witnessed everyone around him “disappear,” as he appeared to in the season 3 finale. But I suppose if what we saw after Peter disappeared is a separate timeline where Peter never existed, then from Peter’s perspective everyone in his timeline (Walter/Walternate, Olivia/Fauxlivia) should remain, and his timeline should continue on in some fashion. Will we get to see both timelines play out if this is the case?
@charliefromVA and FRINGE-NERD, I broached the same subject over at Fringebloggers and and got two replies. fedorafaderas said, “Wasn’t there a song about that very situation on the Violet Sedan Chair album?” To which ChuaChiHian answered, “Last Man In Space?” So maybe we are on to something. I don’t have the music but I think the song is on YouTube. We’ll have to check it out.
